FAQ’s
Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?
We do not allow dogs inside of the restaurant, we do however permit dogs in the outside seating area.
Is there a child’s menu?
Whilst children are welcome in the restaurant, we do not specifically cater for them. We can offer a childs size portion of our fish & chips or the risotto of the day. High chairs are available.
Is the menu suitable for Coeliacs?
We only use gluten free flour in our fryers so the majority of our meals are suitable. The bread we source and some of the pudding garnishes are not suitable but as always, please advise your server of any allergies or intolerances.
Do you serve coffees?
We currently do not serve hot drinks without an accompagning food order.
Can we book an outside table?
We do not reserve our outside tables. They are available on a first come, first serve basis.
Why do I need to pay a deposit?
We request a £10 per person deposit in order to secure bookings. This is to ensure people show up for their meals. We are a small restaurant so every table counts. Deposits are subtracted from your final bill and are refundable if we are advised of the cancellation 24 hours prior to your booking time.
Is the menu Vegetarian/Vegan friendly?
We are primarily a seafood & meat driven restaurant so have limited options for vegetarian or vegan diners. There is typically one starter and one main that would be suitable. We can now offer a vegan Dorset ice cream or sorbet.
Can we have a window seat/sea view?
Our town window seats are ‘bar height tables’, whilst they are proper chairs, they are not suitable for all. They are also situated next to the door so can be cooler/busier. Please specify in your booking if you would like one of these tables. They are for bookings of 1 or 2 only.
Do you accept American Express?
We do not accept American Express payment cards or cheques.
Do you have gift vouchers?
We can offer gift vouchers for any amount, these can also be posted out.
